Hell-o! At the present day line- up of M.D. is Fester (guitar), T.Grinder(drums), Old (vocal), Baltus (bass), Pinky (guitar). This line-up is exist from the 2001 without any changing’s. M.D. terrorize death metal freaks from 1995, we played nearly 60 gigs, have two stuffs “Psycho- Penetration” & “Credo Qiua Absurdum..?” Motivation? Maybe the main motivation was strong fanaticism to brutal music. It is the best way to discharge all of negative energy for us! 2] I’ve not an adeguate knowledge of ukrainian scene but my impression is who have a lot of interesting bands, but what isthe situation about fan, magazines, rehearsal room, live exposure, labels? Not so much good death metal bands we have here… A lot of good bands are dead at the moment, due to hard social living conditions. For metal musicians, of course… Hm… Ukraine- large country, we have a lot of metal fans here, some zines: Terroriser, Rock Manufactura, Encomium, Renaissance, for example. What about rehearsal rooms: our bands have problems with equipment mainly, that with the rooms. Metal gigs take place too, but not on that level & not so regular, as it wanted. Labels? Custom labels, home labels, fan- labels – I prefer to call it so… 3] What are your future plans? We can expect new stuff? If yes, what’s the musical direction? We want to play as it possible & bring the real brutal energy to maniaxxx! I’m agree, that M.D. hadn’t any stuff from 2000, but you’ll be sure you’ll get in anyway!!! Believe in M.D. & you’ll get really brutal shit soon! In uncompromising way of brutality! 4] About lyrics…. your lyrics have the same importance of music about their contents or it’s are “only” another musical element subordinate to riffing parts? Yah! Our lyric is very important for us! All lyrics is writes independently of music. We want to put the sense not only into riffs & blast-beats, but into texts too! Some of it is about psychology, religion, history, but all of it bonded by common theme of mankind’s problems… I think, that it is more actually that the bloody fantasies, or occult blasphemies. We are live in the real world, so that cruel reality is the best base for lyrics. It is my own opinion… 5] About composition… there is a “mastermind” in Mental Demise or is a collective “work in progress”. First of all Fester & T. Grinder made a “carcass” from the guitar & drums. After that, this “skeleton” absorbs vocal, second guitar & bass. So, this is an usual scheme of song’s composing. I think, that we can call it as “collective work in progress”, something like that. But nevertheless all songs were born by Fester & T. Grinder. 6] Your best and your worst experience in Mental Demise ‘til now … It is hard to say about the best experience with M.D… We have many good times with the band… I think, that the best show in the future!!! About the worst experience it associated with alcohol & it negative consequences. Of course, we’re remember all of ours bad performances, disappointments difficulties, but also we think, that all of that tests was added big experiences tours & made us stronger! 7] What are the aspects who you hate into underground scene? Greediness, intolerance envy, transformations of true ideas into business & “fucking rock stars” syndromes… 8] To you the last word!! Thank for interview and good work with your band!! 	1] Give us, please, the history of the band Well, NTD was formed in the end of 2002 from the ashes of a previous death metal band called Bleeding Morgue, me, Alan (Bass) and Nicola (guitar) left the band due to problems related to the dedication about the other members of the band... In the middle of the recording session of our demo Nicola left the band giving us no motivation... And so here we are, in this new project called Neural Tube Defects... 2 minds (like from the beginning) till now, under this new flag. 2] Who are your main influences? In general i can say that our main influences are goregrind bands like Retch, Libido Airbag, Mortician, Fleshless, Intense soaked Cloth and many other, expecially Goregrind or Grind core bands... 3] Describe your band to people that haven’t heard you before Eheheheh... it's hard for me to describe our sound... but i can say that if u are searching for no fucking melodies... speed... obsessive beats... techno sounds... and ultra guttural voices... u MUST hear us... if u don't... go fuck yourself. 4] What kind of response have you guys got from people until now? Many people told us that we are simply "strange", "sick"....i think that's true 5] How’s the scene in your area? There are few great bands like Morbid Upheaval, and Hateful...the other bands (you know) follow a sort of "melodic death metal" that I don't understand... anyway... only shit of course..... 6] Where are some good places to play in your area? 1] Well, who are the sickfucks beside the band? Why have you choiced blackdeath/thrash metal for express yourself? Beside the band there is 3 nuclear demons: R.R.Unholy bastard & Phosgene wargas (BASS & VOCALS), Atomic Incinerator on Necronuclear Collapse & Black winds (GUITAR), Necrovomiterror (DRUMS)… we are worshipper of nuclear hell and we hope to desecrate the earth with our raw noise of hatred …we are possessed by “metal of death” like Blasphemy, Nunslaughter, Morbosidad, early Beherit, Necrofago, Sarcofago, Deathyell, Sadistik Execution & all the 80 black/death metal scene!!!! ...this is the only way to express our hate together to destroy in darkness any form of life. 2] In these last years there is a new wave of band who recover the mighty sounds of late ’80 early ’90, what’s your opinion about this situation? don’t you think there is the risk of a new fucking trend for stole money to young newcomer fans? We like a lot the sound of late ‘80/early ’90 in this time there was a great underground feeling between the underground bands and the virus of intellectual gothic gay music there wasn’t spread in the black/death scene, in those time the raw was the law… during the years the spirit was forgotten in a buried grave… but now the flame of nuclear hell is still alive in bands like Morbosidad, Vomitor, Bestial Mockery, Revenge, Face of Evil, Axis of Advance, Lust... and it is return with vengeance to desecrate the flesh of unarmed scum… I hope that this new waves of bestial mass mutilation in music ‘ll be followed only by real deathwhorshipper …the children that like trends ‘ll be terminated by their own hands… 3] Blasphemophagher songs are a result of a collective work of there is a prevalent role of someone? Atomic Incinerator and R.R. create the riffs for the songs and all together we create the structure… about the lyrics they are all created by R.R. during some periods of intense hate under the effect of despise of human race… 4] Are you working to new stuff? If affirmatively can you give some anticipation? Sure… we have made 2 new song "Crawling Nuclear Chaos" & "Quantum spear of annihilation" and other songs 'll be vomited in a few time …we have also ready a new cover from ONSLAUGHT "Thermonuclear devastation of the planet earth" …the 2 news songs I hope 'll be released soon in a split 7" with our eternal goatbrothers Morbosidad 5] Have you played live? If yes describe me the situation Yes… we have played live a couple of time… in our show dominate chain, bullets, spike, gasmask, hate, violence & terror… 6] How you answer to people who say (not me, of course) who your kind of musick is “dead” or is a stagnating style without no possibility of “progression”? “dead” and “progression” in musick are poor words create by human beings, used to describe some feeling about their listen… they have no idea what means be a tool of nuclear hell like BlasphemophagheR …they can not understand the sensation of intense agony that we spread through this fucking raw noise …this is only pure fucking “art of death” and we are possessed by it!!!! 7] Have you connection with other bands in the same kind of your musick here in Italy?
